 | Triton ETD began manufacturing miniature TWTs in 1972 and in the early 1980s developed the first micro TWT. The company introduced metal-to-ceramic construction which is now the industry standard and was the first to apply fast warm-up technology to miniature TWTs in a production environment. Triton ETD manufactures only helix-type Traveling Wave Tubes with periodic permanent magnet (PPM) focusing providing excellent broadband performance. The majority of Triton ETD TWTs are conduction cooled. Triton ETD has developed an extensive library of designs for EW, radar and communication transmitters. Miniature and micro TWTs operate from 10 watts to more than 125 watts CW or pulsed output power with gains from 18 to 75 dB. Miniature and micro TWTs require from 2.5 to 5 KV at 50 to 175 mA of cathode current. | |
